Year 6 Leavers' Service at Chester Cathedral

Class: Class 4 Year: 2017 - 2018

Some of the Year 6s had a trip to Chester Cathedral to join their annual Leavers' Service.  The children had made a banner to take with them to reflect what they felt was most important about their time at school.  They chose to depict friendship, sports, community, happiness, lessons, empathy, teachers, lunch, fun, respect and support.

It was a real privilege to be asked to take part in the service - leading the actions to a new song we had learnt called "Our God is a good God" - in front of approximately 400 other primary school children.  It was also fun to watch a sketch put on by Hartford Church of England High School linking the Parable of the Sower to getting the most out of high school.  Our favourite song of the service was My Lighthouse.
